THE 7TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOCIAL SCIENCES (ICOSS 2020)
The International Association for Social Science and Humanities and the International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), together organized the 7th International Conference on Social Sciences (????? ????) on a virtual platform under the theme of “????????? ???????? ??? ?????-???????? ?? ? ???????? ?????” on 17th – 18th September 2020. The ICOSS 2020 was co-hosted by Macmillan Brown Center for Pacific Studies, University of Canterbury, New Zealand. The academic partners included Khulna University, Bangladesh, University of Sargodha, Pakistan, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, Jagannath University, Bangladesh and the NOIDA International University in India. Global India Business Forum (GIBF) in India also helped to promote the conference as the media partner while Globeenjoy was the tour and accommodation partner.
The Conference Chair of the ICOSS 2020 was Prof. Steven Ratuva, Director of Macmillan Brown Center for Pacific Studies and Professor of Department of Anthropology and Sociology from University of Canterbury, New Zealand. . Prof. Ratua delivered his keynote speech under the title “People, Power and Peace: where are we heading?” Dr. Tuhin Roy from Khulna University, Bangladesh delivered a plenary speech and both speeches were indeed insightful.
The ICOSS 2020 provided networking opportunities as well as prospects to share their knowledge to participants through the round table discussion which was moderated by Dr Yasir Nawaz Manj, University Of Sargodha, Pakistan and “Meet and Mingle” – Networking Break. Those were certainly engaged sessions through which the participants built networks with each other.
There was a Publication Information Workshop which was conducted by Mr. Isanka P. Gamage (Co-Founder & Managing Director – The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka), and Ms. Yasodara Premarathna (Head of Publication The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka) in order to enhance the knowledge of participants regarding the publications of the conferences as well as to discuss participants’ concerns and give them solutions.
There were more than 30 researchers and academicians representing 15 countries, from across the globe. The ICOSS 2020 offered an inspirational and knowledge creating opportunity to all the respected participants and participants presented their researches under 6 major tracks which were Gender, Youth, Elderly, Child Rights and Wellbeing, Education, Religion and Peacebuilding, Law, Crime, Human Rights and Conflict, Conflict, Migration And Peacebuilding, Communication, Education and Relationships, and Geopolitics And Conflict.
