Maheesha received her B. A. Economics from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka and is currently reading for her Masters of Business Administration at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Her experience in the corporate sector spans for almost 7 years and over a 5 year career in the knowledge management industry. She has been passionate in organizing conferences, workshops, forums, webinars, coordinating, team leading, and working with distinguished professionals and with the Academic institutions from across the globe with the intent of knowledge dissemination. Maheesha is currently working at The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), overseeing the process developments of nearly 20 ongoing projects assuring the required quality standards are preserved.

She has been awarded the “Leadership of the Year” award in the year 2018 and the “Best Division of the Year” award under her leadership consecutively for the respective years 2017 and 2018 at the Alpha Awards organized by TIIKM in collaboration with BlueArc (Pvt) Ltd and Globeenjoy Travel and Tours. She values the aspect of humanity thus actively works towards the vision of creating a better world where every person deserves a right to live happily.
